William S. Jacobs Associates, Inc. has specialized exclusively in the design, implementation and administration of retirement plans for small, closely held businesses.  We utilize only qualified IRS pre-approved prototypes for Section 401(k) Plans, Profit Sharing Plans, Defined Benefit Pension Plans and Money Purchase Pension Plans.  Our services also include periodic plan amendments and restatements as mandated by the IRS.  Unlike many other retirement planning firms we do not sell investments or insurance.

Every business has unique retirement planning needs and goals.  Our plans offer a multitude of options not available to “simpler” types of plan documents.  We will meet with potential clients and their financial and/or tax advisor to design a plan for their retirement goals.  Each year we gather the necessary data from the client and their financial and/or tax advisors in order to calculate contributions, distributions and benefits for the preparation of tax forms.

A qualified retirement plan provides an excellent tax shelter for working owners of closely held businesses and self-employed individuals.  Benefits include:

  • A current deduction for contributions to the plan
  • Earnings from investments made with funds from the plan are accumulated tax free
